John Bramwell .... (I am Kloot)

As the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014. Now, as a solo artist, Bramwell travels a very different path, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heartwarming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans. Bramwell’s razor sharp wit, on the line and refreshingly true [and often hilarious] observations and instantly recognisable haunting vocal channelled through some of the most honest and direct songwriting of our times have received rave reviews, time after time. Most recently, God Is In The TV celebrated John’s 2025 Beautiful Days Festival performance as the highlight of the weekend.

Nick Cope

Nick Cope is a Wood festival institution; there’s no better sight than the main arena standing room only with ‘kids’ aged 0-75 years on a Sunday morning (even the teenagers!). Nick has a way of reaching into people's hearts with his songs of the everyday, igniting children's imagination in an organic, unpatronizing, educational and fun way. These days Nick has an incredible fan base from all over the UK, which has grown even more over the last few years due to the phenomenal success of his CBeebies show, Nick Cope's Popcast, featuring Wood’s very own Joe Bennett in the Popcast band!

Kate Griffin & Matchume Zango

Kate Griffin (UK banjo player) and Matchume Zango (Mozambique multi-instrumentalist) are forging a new cross-cultural collaboration celebrating the universal power of traditional music. They both bring echoes of their respective traditions to a vibrant new sound full of world rhythms, contemporary song-writing and joy.

The binding force of their collaboration is freedom to explore genres on their traditional instruments: for Kate the clawhammer banjo and Matchume the timbila. With lineage from Zavala, Inhambane Province, the centre of Mozambique’s timbila tradition, Matchume is regarded as one of the new masters of timbila. Kate has toured internationally with her Indo-folk collective Mishra, and has been described as ‘one of the top banjo players in the country’ by virtuoso Dan Walsh.

Kenneth Pattengale, best known as one half of The Milk Carton Kids, returns to the stage solo for the first time in sixteen years. A distinctive guitarist, singer, and producer, he has spent the past decade and a half refining a musical language defined by precision, restraint, and emotional clarity. This rare solo appearance isn’t a step away from anything so much as a step into new creative ground, where his songwriting and guitar work can unfold with uncommon freedom. Intimate and quietly daring, it offers a vivid glimpse of an artist charting a new path.

Amelia Coburn

Just like her musical heroes and heroines Serge Gainsbourg, Scott Walker, Joni Mitchell, Neil Hannon, Rufus Wainwright, Liza Minelli and David Bowie, Amelia Coburn has a knack for making the unusual sound timeless.

Drawing inspiration from gothic literature and the shadowy allure of film noir, there is a darkness at the heart of many of her songs, populated by vivid characters and nocturnal creatures that inhabit the liminal space “between the moon and the milkman”.

Her Bill Ryder-Jones produced debut album gained a cult following, including praise from British music legends Paul Weller and Paul Heaton - as well as national radio play across BBC Radios 2, 3, 4, 5, 6music, Scotland, Ulster and Introducing in the North East.

Amelia’s honest, occasionally hilarious and quintessentially north-eastern persona disarms and beguiles in equal measure: this is art without artifice.

The Dreaming Spires

The Dreaming Spires marked their eagerly awaited return with the release of their new album, 'Normal Town', on November 7th through Clubhouse Records, the band's third album and their first new music in nearly a decade.

Exploring themes of home, nostalgia, alienation and the beauty of the everyday, the record blends 60s rock ‘n’ roll influences, nodding to the Who, Jeff Lynne and the Everly Brothers, and chamber pop accents underpinned by a subtle layer of political commentary, with tracks like ‘Normalisation’, ‘21st Century Light Industrial’ and the title track ‘Normal Town’, which pays homage to their hometown of Didcot, once dubbed "the most normal town in England."

“Flavours of Big Star, The Byrds and Grandaddy can all be heard amongst lyrics dealing with fading high streets, the quiet exasperation of zero hours contracts and questionable town planning.” **** MOJO

Rob Jones & the Restless Dream

Rob Jones & The Restless Dream make “Midnight Americana” - widescreen, cinematic songs that evoke the long roads and late nights of Northern England. Rob’s songwriting blends the sounds of Springsteen, Tom Petty and Jason Isbell with the weary romance of British towns after dark. Their debut album Stars was released last year and quickly found favour across the BBC and Absolute Radio, where the band were named Spotlight Artists of the Week. A former high-school English teacher, Rob left a steady life behind to chase an impossible dream - and he can’t wait to bring these songs from the wilderness to Cropredy, a field he’s sat in many times before as a long-time Fairport fan. Ella Spencer

Ella is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist raised in the English countryside and now based in London. She draws on her British-American heritage and upbringing to create a fusion of Indie and Folk music.

Accompanying herself on piano, guitar and occasionally banjo, her unique voice and distinctive songs have enchanted many at the UK’s Americana hotspots and festival stages across the UK and US.

Her latest release, ‘Scotty’s Tyres’ is an angsty heartbreak anthem, co-written with Canadian Pop-Rock siren Poesy. With this track, Ella dives into a new place of vulnerability, power and darkness: ‘Slash your tyres, set your car on fire, and that’s something I still might do’. Her biggest sound to date, the track gives Ella space to stretch her wings vocally, a glimpse of what a future with a band could hold. It’s the furthest she’s exposed her Indie-Rock edge yet, while retaining the roots quality of her previous work with Jerry Joseph on resonator guitar and herself on acoustic and Wurlitzer piano.
